KK Null(JAPAN)
Tallinn Music Week started in 2009 with a plan to introduce the entire world to Estonian music, from jazz and folk to punk and metal. A kind of crash course in Estonian music was born, which on one spring weekend in 2011 filled all of Tallinn's clubs, theatres and cellar bars with the freshest and most exciting Estonian music there was and also number of performers from neighborhood countries have been increasing every year.
Also, Tallinn Music Week was attended by close to a hundred influential forces in the world of music from around Europe. Invitees include festival directors, record companies, publishers and so on. This was a large-scale party for Estonians and foreign fans and an opportunity for talented Estonian musicians to get noticed outside the country's borders.
Japanese musician KK Null and Estonian band EDASI performed at the festival music they planed to create in collaboration during rehearsals week before their performance at the festival. Collaboration will be developed communication in between Japanese and Estonian artists and might inspire to create other collaboration projects with different artists in future.

was born in Tokyo, Japan. Composer, guitarist, singer,
mastermind of ZENI GEVA and electronic wizard. One of the top names in Japanese noise music and in a larger context, one of the great cult artists in experimental music since the early 80's.
After playing the guitar as his main instrument for some twenty years, KK NULL has gradually moved towards a more electronic approach. In recent years he has concentrated his efforts on his solo & collaborative recordings, exploring the outer territories of electronica, creating intense clashing wave of noise, structured electro-acoustic ambience, broken down rhythmics, scattered pitch sculptures, droning isolationist material which could be described “cosmic noise maximal/minimalism”. At present KK NULL has more than 100 titles of recordings released (inc. solo, bands, collaborations, compilations).

The story of EDASI began somewhere in the early 2000s. It's an experimental solo project of keyboard player, painter and obscure film and music collector Mihkel Kleis. Although it wasn't really intended, EDASI soon became a psychedelic noise group. M.K. is the only permanent member, the rest of the lineup is constantly changing. At least 20 musicians have collaborated with EDASI during past years. Lately the most important inspirational source has been lo-fi underground black metal.
