GROUP the Creation and Voice of the Woods held the open-air art exhibition under the basic theme "Dialoguing with the nature of the forest, and producing at the site of exhibition" since 1997. From 2006, they started "Art Exhibition in the Forest of Yokohama" as the name of project. In this year they will be held it 4th exhibition. The overseas and the domestic artists are invited to the forest, while they stimulate mutually, new idea and techniques are produced. It is our open-air exhibition, which is made lively.
They have started an exhibition project in the town since last year. It is one of their ideas which they introducing such kind of interesting forest and their activities to the society. They would like to hold the "4th Art Exhibition in the Forest of Yokohama" to seek a possibilities of creating the new regional culture where the being connected of the forest and town.
As for the latest theme "Something hidden in the forest, which is left to the city. Opening heart and the body, it can thread to expression, the adventure starts."

We are the group which continues the art event which utilizes the forest, it was started an open-air art exhibition which used the forest by power of the artists and the regional citizen in 1997. The member the artist, the teacher and the office worker, the profession, with the housewife and the student etc, age from 20 to 70 year old generations is formed with wide age. Our activities is not only held the art event in the summer, through year we have done the activity which preserve the forest while enjoying the nature and keeps conveying the ideal way of the forest to the society of this area.
We have been thinking about the Forest which is left in the urban city is very important place which connects nature with city life.
Expression of Art, Experience of Nature, Exchange of the people. These three elements to be brought together in the forest, we think the new meaning of the forest will be found. The forest gives yearning and feeling good quality to our hearts, and narrates deep meaning.
The reason why did we hold open-air art exhibition and many art events with the forest, it is for share the time and room for remember the voice from the forest and do not forget it.
