Chiten

Continued from last year, Chiten will work together with partners, such as international theatre festival and public theatre. We will co-produce two new pieces for this fiscal year: “The Seagull” by Chekhov at Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival 2011 (KYOTO EXPERIMENT) and “TOKA-TON-TON-TO” by Osamu Dazai at Kanagawa Arts Theatre (KAAT). “The Seagull” will be shown at several venues in Kyoto and it is experimentally intended to see a play in a various space at the same time. On the other hand, “TOKA-TON-TON-TO” will be created during one-month residency in Yokohama in collaboration with KAAT technical team. Both programs are more adventurous and advanced projects which enjoy the achievement from last year.
