Performance in "Chiyofuku summer festival"
Jou, contemporary dance artist, actively collaborates with other genres while producing a lot of performances in and outside Japan.
In 2011, Jou develops International exchange programs for alternative artists between Japan and Europe Education programs for young artists with the base of contemporary dance, which is the professional area for her creation. In addition, Jou researches and shows the possibility of the return of "body sense", the most necessary but the less developed in the modern society. Jou also develops her activities widely such as participation for international residential program, workshop and seminar for young artists, and English speaking project.

JOU, a Japanese contemporary dancer and choreographer, had started her dance when she was 23 years old. Since 2000, settled in Tokyo Japan after having lived around the world. ".
As a director of Odorujou- a performance project unit-.
"Odoru" means "dance" in Japanese, "jou" is not only "JOU" as her name, but is a part of " joutai"- "situation" in Japanese as well.
She earned the prize of The Special Prize for Foreign Choreographer at The 2008 Seoul International Choreography Festival.
