From the memorial symposium on the NPO formation
Toride Art Project executive committee incorporated as a non-profit organization in last November, has started two long-term schemes "the Apartment Complex with Art" and "Han-Noh Han-Gei (half agriculture half art)". In 2011, beside these main schemes, children's program with elementary schools in Toride city, environmental arrangement program with the partnership of the local company, granting for the local activities and international exchange program with a curator from abroad will be conducted.

Toride Art Project (TAP) started in 1999 and since then the management and the planning has been in the hands of three contributors: Citizens, Toride City Government and Tokyo University of the Arts. TAP supports young artists to develop their works,and provides the opportunities for citizens to get close to art within their daily life. Through these programs, the project has been actively contributing to the city to develop as a cultural place.
