|Tallinn 2011 – European Capital of Culture|
Photographed by Krista Molder
The exhibit features work from the 13th iteration of the Committee photography project launched in 1999.
In December 2010 and July 2011, two photographers from Estonia and Finland visited Akita prefecture to depict it in vol.13.
For photographing, they were assisted a lot by the team of the Zerodate art project, who organizes various art activities for all ages and genre in the city of Odate, Akita prefecture.
In this exhibition, their works show the "Now" of Akita which was seen from two different European eyes.
The exhibit in the other European Capital of Culture Turku (Finland) was held from September to October in 2011, and it received great responses from local people. Unlike the exhibition in Turku, there are two venues for the exhibition in Tallinn; so this presentment would bring different impression to beholders.
We hope that this exhibition will be an opportunity for the people of Tallinn and Europe in order to think about Japan and ponder the meaning of life.
