In September, 2011 third International Art Photography Festival IN FOCUS 2011 will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania. The Festival aims to present foreign and local art photographers and reflect the process in contemporary photography scene. Festival consists of exhibitions, educational program, open contest, workshops and meetings.
In 2011, festival IN FOCUS seeks to have Japan and its art photographers as a special guest. Established curator, Ms. Mikiko Kikuta is invited to present contemporary Japanese art photography. In Vilnius gallery four young photographers - Ms. Utsu Yumiko, Ms. Karen Sato, Mr. Daisuke Nakajima and Mr. Shinryo Saeki will be presented and special educational program will be implemented.

Born 1979 in Hiroshima prefecture and currently resident in Osaka. He graduated from Osaka University of Arts and received the Excellence Award, New Cosmos of Photography in 2001.
His self-publishing books and installations with numerous photographs has gathered attention. His eyes always toward to life, death, humor and affection capturing sharply the daily life. His book, AISATSU was published in 2009. He holds great promise as one of Japan's leading young photographers.

Born 1978 in Tokyo. She completed the photography course of Tokyo Shashin Gakuen. Utsu was honored the first prize of 26th HITOTSUBO award in 2006. The unforgettable and appealing images she makes has been receiving a high praise through her solo and group exhibitions from home and abroad. The exhibition at Paris Photo in 2008 attracted attention and ART ACTUAL and Le Figaro featured her work describing "the first humorous photography from Japan".

Born Osaka in 1983 and currently resident in Tokyo. Nakashima graduated from the Faculty of Sociology, Kansai University and the evening class of Visual Arts Collage, Osaka. He received the Visual Arts Photo Award in 2008 and brought out his first publication each other. His work presents his own way of looking at the world getting across lightly from snapshot to staged photo and from real to fake.

Born Kanagawa prefecture. Sato graduated from Art and Architecture School of Waseda University in 2009. Her first work entitled Dappigara was made from her experience of hikikomori (isolating oneself from society) and asks the significance to be alive in contemporary society.
Comparing the works of the previous-generation that captured the daily life to get the reality "here and now", Sato traces her memory and makes her wok drawing the imagination through space and time. In a sense, her work ushers in a new generation.

Organization's mission is professional culture management services for artists, culture operators, public sector and international organizations as well as initiative and implementation of leading culture projects.
In all its activity organization seeks to strengthen the status of artists and culture in public life, intermediate between artists, culture operators, public and privates sectors and other segments of society, tender professional and effective culture management services in every field of activity, develop best traditions in publishing culture books, develop critical position of the society and encourage knowledge of Lithuanian and world's cultures, and awake important social issues trough the language of art and represent Lithuanian and world's culture and art.
