Video message from Mr Constantin Chiriac, Festival Director of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS)l! This year, the FITS will take place from 20 to 29 August under the theme “Building Hope Together”. Upgraded from last year’s event, which was entirely online, you can enjoy this year’s FITS at the venues in Sibiu and online!! 10 Japanese companies are invited to participate, and the festival’s online content will be available to view from Japan! In addition to the companies scheduled to perform locally, the online lineup includes the new Noh play “Orpheus” by Yamamoto Nohgakudo, which premiered in Plovdiv 2019, and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, which was performed last year in Tokyo, directed by Mr Silviu Purcărete.
