This week, we feature this years European Capitals of Culture – Galway 2020 (Ireland) and Rijeka 2020 (Croatia)!

 

Galway 2020 (Ireland)

“Gilgamesh” is one of the flagship programs of Galway 2020 and organized by Macnas, a performance company in Galway. It is a performance work based on “The Epic of Gilgamesh” from ancient Mesopotamia. Initially, delivering the program across the city were planned though, due to the pandemic, the work was published online as a digital storybook. Let’s check it out!

Rijeka 2020 (Croatia)

A large-scale exhibition “Fiume Fantastika: Phenomena Grada” which has been held since the end of August will finally close on 20 December. The exhibition focuses on the 150 years history of Rijeka, the city once known as ‘Fiume’ and has marked the number of visitors over 6,000.
Guided-tours by experts are offered at this exhibition and many people deepen their understandings of the history of the city.
