NEXT 7 HOURS – the digitalization of the exhibition “+7 HOURS” of IVAN ASEN 22 Foundation
From the exhibition venue to the streets. A new development with a mobile app!
"+7HOURS", held at Plovdiv 2019, is a collaborative fashion project between Bulgarian and Japanese designers based on the Japanese kimono. The project also produced a fashion film, shot in Tokyo in collaboration with Ms Ayako Kobayashi, Mr Roy Mizuno and Mr Ohshi Uemoto. The created costumes are worn by the actor Ilmena Chichikova in the film. In 2021, the project moved out of the exhibition space and into the streets of Plovdiv. A newly launched mobile app allows us to bring the outfits outdoor! By reading the QR codes placed in the gallery and on the streets, users will be able to see the 20 costumes in the landscape through their smartphones and tablets, allowing them to enjoy each costume from every angle. A video demonstration featuring the scenes seen through the app has also been shot. Gaining new 'visitors' with the app, “+7HOURS” is now preparing for an exhibition in Japan!
