In this issue, we will introduce a stage performance by Mr. Yukio Suzuki, choreographer/dancer.

“Vanish: Steps for Disappearance” is a trilogy choreographed and directed by Mr. Suzuki that takes ‘disappearance’ as its title. Performers will change daily, and will include “Lost Tracks (遺された軌跡)”, “Vanish,” and “With Landscape (風景とともに)” and will also be on live online. The body continues to “disappear. And even after “disappearing,” dance still “exists” there… Mr. Suzuki will confront his own starting point at the theater where his creative activities began.

【Profile: Suzuki Yukio】
Choreographer and dancer. He has performed in over 50 cities worldwide, and his supple, delicate, yet strong body and dance, which seem to protrude out of the space, have attracted many audiences. In addition, he has appeared in works and music videos by Ko Murobushi and Megumi Nakamura, and has collaborated with musicians and given workshops. In 2008, he won the “Choreographer of the Next Generation Award (Grand Prix)” at the Toyota Choreography Awards.” He was also selected as one of the 10 finalists for the ”Danse Elargie” at the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris, France in 2012.
