Hidekazu Ichinose is a sword-master and member of the prestigious Toudou Renmei dojo founded by the late sword-master Kunishiro Hayashi. He has been engaged in a diverse range of activities as an actor, choreographer, voice actor, and Japanese sword artist. He actively conducts theatrical performances and performance art collaborations to promote the traditional culture of Japanese swords. In recent years, he also has been involved in kabuki performances, primarily focusing on acting and choreography including for New Kabuki “Naruto and “Super Kabuki II ONE PIECE. Ichinose san presents performances that showcase: “The art of the Japanese Sword. Transcending both the traditional and the modern, his work combines the traditional techniques of kenjitsu and modern performance art adaptations of the art. His performances include: Kumitate (sword assembly), Kirikata (sword wielding), vibrant Bojutsu (Bo staff wielding) solo fight sequences and much more.
