Hello, my name is Kenta and I live in Yokohama. This year I started two years as an associate choreographer of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No.1. I have a mentorship with architect/artist Hannes Mayer and will be presenting a new work in December 2024 and 2025. I began my professional career in Europe, after winning the Prix de Lausanne in 1999. I am the first Japanese male dancer to join the Nederlands Dans TheaterⅠ, led by Jiří Kylián. Since 2010, I am a freelance artist centered on choreographic activities such as site-specific solo performance "Study for Self/portrait" in Japan and Europe. My choreography and teaching have covered a wide range of fields including ballet, contemporary dance, opera, musical and figure skating.
