We are WATASAWA DESIGN, a creative unit from Miyagi, Japan, consisting of professional Calligrapher SEIHOU and Technical Director MAKOTO. We offer a unique cultural experience that bridges "Authentic Tradition," "Modern Subculture," and "Spirit of Resilience." As a survivor of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, SEIHOU takes the stage as a professional calligrapher and a cosplayer. By appearing as the reconstruction support character "Tohoku Zunko," she transforms the "heaviness" of traditional art and disaster history into an accessible, engaging "lightness" for global audiences. This strategic fusion allows us to deliver profound messages of hope and gratitude to the hearts of people worldwide, especially within Europes vibrant subculture communities. Our program features interactive workshops where participants create original "Goshuin" (sacred seal art) using professional Japanese tools, and panel discussions on how culture empowers recovery. 2026 marks the 15th anniversary of the earthquake. Our mission is to repay the world for the support we received by sharing the "present" of our revitalized hometown through top-tier entertainment. With MAKOTOs technical expertise and SEIHOUs artistic vision, WATASAWA DESIGN is ready to conquer and energize subculture events across Europe. Lets create an unforgettable, meaningful bridge between Japan and your community together.

What is "Goshuin"? > Originally, it is a unique seal and calligraphy granted to visitors of Japanese shrines and temples. Hand-written by monks or Shinto priests, each one is a "world-exclusive piece of art." Even in Japan, the opportunity to experience creating one yourself is extremely rare.

"A photographic piece captured to reflect the profound soul and essence of the calligraphy."
