Straw Art JAPAN, a non-profit organization, is making straw art in various parts of Japan with the aim of handing down straw culture, utilizing straw, and revitalizing new local communities. The material is mainly made of straw, bamboo, and wood, and is made using techniques inherited from the old Japanese straw knitting culture "Tobaami". The size is about 4 meters high and 6 meters long as standard . The production period is about two weeks per body . This production activity creates new “solidarity” across regions and generations while “collaborating” with people. For four years since its establishment in 2016 , he has made dozens of works nationwide. From 2018 , we expanded this activity overseas, producing dinosaurs excavated locally in Kalasin Province, Thailand, and seven endangered animals at the York Festival in Australia .
