I am a Japanese artist who grew up in Manila, London, Washington DC, Cairo, Hong Kong, and New York. Hopping from one country to another, I have questioned my identity countless times. Art to me, is an expression of my voice. It is the voice of my thoughts, of the world that I can carry with me wherever I go. I can safely explore the boundaries of what I desire. Nature plays a huge role in my crafts. I often use organic materials that could be found around me, so I could revisit the remains of my travels. Every stroke of brush on canvas is alive, and colors are what I have known and will soon discover.
