A boys and girls choir based in Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture, formed to participate in the International Youth Concert in Rijeka 2020 in the spring of 2020, amidst the world's corona crisis. As there were no children\'s choirs in Tokamachi City in the spring of 2020, a new choir was formed with the alumni of the “Sennen-no-Mori Boys and Girls Choir," which had temporarily suspended its activities in the spring of 2019 due to a sharp decline in its membership. The 18-member chorus has continued to work together from third grade students at the elementary school to high school seniors, as well as working adults who just graduated from high school this spring. In the midst of this corona disaster, on November 21, 2020, the Coro Espoir held its first memorable concert, a "Milestone Concert", while taking adequate measures to prevent infection. Some of the members who are high school seniors have to prepare for their next career path, and unfortunately some will not be able to continue their activities, so this concert was held to mark a milestone. In the future, we want to recruit more members and spread the voice of hope (Espoir) while dreaming of going to Rijeka one day.
