About the Senda Pan Flute Choir
The Senda Panflute Choir was formed in April 2011 from the Senda Elementary School Chorus Club, which had previously existed at Senda Elementary School, and began community-based school music education activities as the Senda Elementary School Chorus.
In April 2020, the choir changed its name to the "Senda Pan Flute Choir," and now consists of 26 students from the second to sixth grades of Senda Elementary School and Senda Elementary School graduates, who are engaged in musical activities to "send peace from Hiroshima to the world" through choral singing and performances of the A-bombed tree Kaizukaibuki Pan Flute.
About the A-bombed tree "Kaizukaibuki" Pan Flute
In 2014, the Hiroshima City-designated A-bombed tree "Kaizukaibuki" in Senda Elementary School sadly died before the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing.
However, thanks to the efforts of many people, the tree was revived as the A-bombed tree Kaizukaibuki Pan Flute on the 70th anniversary of the bombing. Today, it is revived as 107 pan flutes.
The pan flute made of the A-bombed tree "Kaizukaibuki" is playing an active role as a messenger of peace from Hiroshima to the world with the choral activities of the Senda Pan Flute Choir.
Since 2015, the Senda Panflute Choir has incorporated the A-bombed tree "Kaizukaibuki Panflute" into its activities, and has been working widely with the goal of "musical activities to convey peace from Hiroshima to the world.
The Senda Pan Flute Choir\'s activities
In March 2016, the Senda Panflute Choir performed a chorus for the delegates at the G7 Summit of Foreign Ministers Youth Conference held at the Hiroshima International Conference Center, which received a great response.
From 2016 to 2020, we will participate in "Peace, Art and Music" held at the former Bank of Japan Hiroshima Branch, a designated A-bombed building in Hiroshima City, to send a message of peace to the world.
In July 2017, I performed and delivered a message of peace at the International Symposium 2017' held at the International Conference Center.
For three consecutive years from 2016 to 2019, she has delivered a message of peace through music to the world at the "Hiroshima Children's Peace Gathering" held at the International Conference Center Phoenix Hall on August 6, and was awarded the "Aogiri Prize" by the Mayor of Hiroshima City.
In August 2019, she will perform and deliver a message of peace in front of an audience of about 10,000 people at the 2019 Peace Action in Hiroshima at the Hiroshima Prefectural Gymnasium (Green Arena).
In November 2019, I will deliver a message of peace to the world and the whole country at the 49th Japan PTA Chugoku Block Study Conference in Hiroshima at the Hiroshima International Conference Center, Phoenix Hall.

On August 6, 2020, a message of peace will be broadcast live on the Internet from the former Bank of Japan Hiroshima Branch, an A-bombed building, to the world through "Peace, Art and Music.
