I studied under Takara Sanzaemon (Fukuhara Hyakunosuke Ⅵ.). In 1991, I graduated Tokyo University of the Arts and I was allowed call himself Fukuhara Hyakushichi Ⅳ. I has played in performances hosted by the National Theater, Kabuki, broadcasting, Agency for Cultural Affairs, Tokyo Summer Festival of Music, Suntory Hall Gala Concert, and Japan Dance Association performances etc. I taught actors and performed in the Japanese historical TV dramas and theme music movie "Red Cliff 2". I appeared in a junior high school music textbook in Japan as a Japanese traditional flute (shinobue) player. There are also some works I composed.
