Since 2012, the Polish Art and Science Mission in Japan has been successfully organising artistic events in Japan (mainly in Okayama Prefecture) and Poland to bring both cultures closer together. We organise concerts, exhibitions, music festivals, cinema festivals, lectures and other events in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental cultural organisations. In recent years we have been implementing the "Sgraffito" project , the aim of which is to realise wall decorations in the lime sgraffito technique - a technique known in Europe since the Renaissance and still unknown in Japan. To date, we have completed more than 140 m2 of sgraffito in various towns in Okayama Prefecture, including the walls of the Oku Prefectural High School.
