“Hedda Gabler” of Co. Ruri Mito will be performed in Tokyo and Aichi next month! Directed and choreographed by dancer Ms Ruri Mito, who is active both in Japan and abroad and also participated in the AURA Dance Festival in Kaunas in 2017, “Hedda Gabler” was premiered in 2021 with the dancers of Ms Mito’s company Co. When the piece was first performed in 2021, Ruri Mito played the role of Hedda, who is scared and angry like an animal trapped inside. The performance was highly acclaimed as a high quality work expressing Ibsen’s masterpiece “Hedda Gabler” with contemporary dance, video, and music.
