Pianist Ms Yoko Nishii will give a concert in Tokamachi City, the host town of Croatia, on 17 July! Ms Nishii, who studied in Croatia and has given concerts there for many years, is from Ise City, Mie Prefecture. Thanks to this connection, she assisted photographer SofiaSilvia from Rijeka 2020 for the photography project “European Eyes on Japan/Japan Today” and Ms Nishii appeared in her works too. This is the concert postponed for one year from last year in Tokamachi City, the host town of Croatia where I had spent seven years. I hope you will be able to come to the concert although the corona disaster is still not over. I will perform works by Liszt, Schumann, and Rachmaninov, as well as those by Japanese composer Kosaku Yamada and Croatian composer Dora Pejacevic. I wish for a further development of friendship between Croatia and Japan through this concert.
