In last year’s European Capitals of Culture – Matera 2019 (Italy) and Plovdiv 2019 (Bulgaria), a variety of arts/cultural programs have been delivered after the end of the title year!
Matera 2019 (Italy)
A digested video of a festival of performing arts “Festival So Far So Close” held in Matera, the last year’s European Capital of Culture and neighboring Basilicata region (Italy) this past September and October has been revealed. At the arts festival under unconventional circumstances, volunteers also played important roles.

Plovdiv 2019 (Bulgaria)
A Bulgarian artist collective Metheor Association premiered its theatrical work “A DAY THAT HAS EVERYTHING IN IT” which was created to be performed online.
The group organized a Japan-related program “Hijikata and His Double” within the last year’s European Capital of Culture, Plovdiv 2019 (Bulgaria)!
“Dark Poem. Hijikata and His Double”, a continuing program from Plovdiv 2019 will also be activated in April 2021!
