European Capitals of Culture Presentation & Networking 2024
Delegations from 14 host cities come together again in Tokyo to showcase European Capitals of Culture!
The European Capitals of Culture (ECOC) is one of the best-known cultural programs in the European Union (EU). For 39 years, the European Capital of Culture continues to develop into a global arts and cultural exchange program with artists from over 100 countries participating each year. In addition, over the past 31 years, some 32,000 artists and youth from Japan have participated in programs organized, researched, and negotiated by the European Capital of Culture.
EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee is excited to announce the ECOC presentation and networking 2024. This year again, representatives from the 14 host cities of the European Capital of Culture will gather in Tokyo to introduce the attractions and activity policies of each host city. Japanese artists who are interested in developing their activities in Europe will be able to find out how they can participate in the European Capital of Culture. A networking program will be held at the venue where you can promote your own activities to them. We encourage you to register for the “Meet Up ECoC!” artist bank, where you can deliver your portfolio in advance. The committee will also provide travel support for your participation in the European Capital of Culture.
We look forward to seeing you there!

For those participating as artists
The European Capital of Culture is seeking information on Japanese artists. If you would like to promote your own activities, please post information about your activities on the Committee’s artist databank site “Meet Up ECoC!” Due to the large number of participants, please refrain from handing over materials on the day of the event.
