About this website

This website is a collection of portfolios of Japan-based artists/Japanese artists for the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) that enable them to get the latest information of the artists.
ECoC is a prominent project on the global level which invites artists from all over the world. Every year, the title cities have a numerous cultural project throughout a year.
We hope this website will be helpful to make a direct communication between ECoCs and artists, organizers, or curators to produce each project.

European Capitals of Culture (ECoC) / local organizers can…

  • find interesting artists in Japan or Japanese artists abroad.
  • browse artist-pages by genres or random keywords.
  • get a contact address and CVs of artists.
  • reach their official website for further information.
  • post information about the Open Calls.

Artists can…

  • create a simple portfolio in English.
  • appeal your activities to ECoC and local organizers abroad.
  • put some representative works such as images or videos.
  • guide viewers to your website or SNSs, where you put more details about works and activities.
  • ask a support to promote your activities via EU-Japan Fest’s newsletter and SNSs.
  • receive the information about the Presentation & Networking events.
