This website is an online meeting point for the European Capitals of Culture (ECoC) and Japan-based artists (any nationality)/Japanese artists abroad.
It aims to facilitate smooth communication between organizers and artists on the occasion of the presentation & networking events in Japan/ Europe, or of the research travels to Japan.

Purpose for Artists

The European Capitals of Culture have a strong interest in artists and culture in Japan to develop their cultural projects. Approx. more than 30 thousand artists from Japan have been invited to the programs in ECoCs in the past.
Following artists/ cultural organizations are eligible to register the profile;
-Japan-based artists/ organization (any nationality)
-Japanese artists who are active abroad

EU-Japan Fest

The EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee is a non-profit non-governmental organization established by European ambassadors to Japan and Japanese business and cultural figures on the occasion of the 1993 request to assist with Japanese participation in the European Capital of Culture Antwerp, in Belgium.The Committee supports Japan-related programmes held mainly in conjunction with each year’s European Capital of Culture, as well as the continuation, development and offshoots of programmes from previous European Capitals of Culture, and lead-up programmes to future European Capitals of Culture.
