BARD is a Japanese non-profit art collective established with the aim of promoting arts and culture through an interdisciplinary approach. It consists of three members: a curator, a researcher, and a contemporary artist. Founded in 2023, BARD held its first exhibition, "Words are Bellows: How to see the between," in Lithuania in 2024. This exhibition was supported by the Embassy of Lithuania in Japan and the Embassy of Japan in Lithuania and was also featured on national radio. This year, with support from the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan, BARD is planning activities focused on themes such as care, post-colonialism, and immigration.
