Tomoyuki Ueno is based in Berlin and Kobe. In 2008, he completed a Masters degree in Inter Media Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2009, he moved to Berlin and completed a Meister degree in Art and Media at the Berlin University of the Arts with DAAD and Pola scholarships. He has participated in residency programs at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (2018–2019), Akiyoshidai International Art Village (2020 and 2021), and the Tusen Takk Foundation (2025). Ueno has been invited to exhibit his work internationally, including the Print Art Triennale 2016 at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, the 6th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art in 2018, and VOCA at The Ueno Royal Museum in 2023.
