Kosei SAKAMOTO heads up dance company “Monochrome Circus in Kyoto , Japan. In University , he studied esthetics & anthropology and starts theater experiences. He puts a great deal of effort in the performances of all nine pieces of “A Collection of Short Dance Pieces at home and overseas. He is also active in collaborations such as “Refined Colors and “lost with Takayuki FUJIMOTO of “Dumb Type and “Wash with Shinta INOUE, “Cage with Daito Manabe. “ TROPE “ with “graf “. The company has been invited to show works at events around the world, including the Lyon Biennale (France), the World Dance Alliance (Singapore), the Full Moon Dance Festival (Finland ), the Bates Dance Festival (USA), the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Festival dAutomne, etc. Also, He create a lots of Community /Site-Specific Dance Works. In 2009 he co-produces with local dancers an orienteering-type dance performance “Lets find out Dancers!! at “Beppu Contemporary Art Festival 2009 -Mixed Bathing World “. In 2010 he produced a new performance with Shigeki HATTORI／graf in “Setouchi International Art Festival 2010. After , He also worked with many Architect like “ Masaharu Furuya “ Alphavile and deepened work with Architecture and Body. Even though Under pandemic ,He is creating pieces and presenting it in the theater in Kyoto also another city.
