“+7 HOURS” is a project of “IVAN ASEN 22”, conceptual designers’ platform in Sofia, Bulgaria, aiming to interweave the Japanese and Bulgarian culture through the visual language of contemporary fashion design. The result - an exhibition-a spatial fashion installation of conceptual garments developed by nine Bulgarian fashion designers and four Japanese fashion design students, accompanied by a fashion film is a collaboration between Bulgarian and Japanese artists, featuring actress Irmena Chichikova.
The inspiration comes from the traditional Japanese and Bulgarian culture, the personal story of the owners of authentic Japanese kimonos, combined with the phenomena of contemporary urban life and lifestyle in both countries.
