Konnichiwa!! We are Otomic, a team of music workshop artists passionate about using music to connect people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Through interactive performances and workshops, we create inclusive spaces that inspire collaboration and foster meaningful connections across boundaries. Since our founding in 2012, Otomic has developed unique programs inspired by the educational initiatives of world-renowned orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, and Portugals Casa da Música. These experiences have shaped hundreds of participatory concerts and workshops in Japan and abroad. Weve collaborated with global icons like the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra and performed at celebrated festivals in Portugal and the UK. Most recently, we were honored to be selected as an official program for **Tartu 2024 European Capital of Culture** in Estonia. There, we partnered with local children to create music inspired by Japanese and Estonian traditions, using instruments made from recycled materials. This cross-cultural exchange transcended generations and sparked unforgettable connections. Check out the highlights in the top image! With a team of 13 passionate members, Otomic has delivered nearly 400 performances, engaging over 30,000 participants of all ages.
