Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I am a dancer, taiko player and musician in Tokyo. I create works based on the fascination of the "body" as a form of dance, with a focus on taiko drumming. I also choreograph, direct, make songs, and conduct workshops and bon dance creation. In 2019, We formed "Taiko+Dance Unit MADAKOBAYASHI", a performance unit in which all members dance while playing percussion instruments. Referencing the physicality and philosophy of Japanese local performing arts, we aim to express ourselves as a "foreign body" that connects a wide variety of things.
