Utako Toyama is a multi-award-winning composer, the first recipient of the Hiroshima Award, the founder of SkyBridge and co-founder of Songs for World Peace. She is also a recipient of an exceptional talent visa in the U.S. and the UK and is currently based in London, UK.
Her goal is to promote diversity, equity and world peace through music, using her strength of leadership and composing.
After she entered Berklee with a scholarship, she founded a global project band, SkyBridge whose goal is to promote diversity, equity and world peace by collaborating with musicians from all over the world and by involving the audience in their musical performances and creating the one and only moment. She led and collaborated with musicians from more than 47 countries, including Grammy-awarded musicians such as Victor Wooten and Mark Walker as SkyBridge, and worked with musicians from over 80 countries and worked with organizations such as UN Women SF Chapter, Musicians Without Borders, art27, Together Productions, Music to Life as Songs for World Peace.
