Born in 1983. Having graduated from Kyoto Institute of Technology, he went on to finish his masterʼs degree at same institution in 2008. Since 2008, Kawakatsu has led architectural research project“ RAD (Research for Architectural Design), and has taken major roles in architectural exhibition curation, public workshop and event. He is a part-time lecturer at Osaka Public University, Kyoto Seika University and Setsunan University, teaching architectural design, architectural theory and architectural history.
