Hello. My name is Airi Suzuki. I'm a choreographer/dancer of contemporary dance. Currently, I'm based in Fukuoka, Japan. (I moved here from Tokyo 2 years ago).
When I was 19yr old, I moved to California, USA, and at the age 21, I moved to New York City where I attended Limon Institute and Peridance center to become a professional dancer. My dream has come true after I moved to Europe from NY at the age 25. I have lived in Berlin, Paris, Geneva, Barcelona between 26 and 31 years old. After I moved back to Tokyo, I started focusing on my own creations, and started building more connections with the other Asian countries. Then, I have stayed in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Korea, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
Now, I look back and I really appreciate and thankful that my dance lead my life to so many places in the world and I would love to continue traveling and meeting people through my dance.

"So I Dance For Forgiveness..." 2019
A 60min solo dance piece which was inspired by a book of Jean Ruff-O’Herne who was a Dutch lady, forced to become a comfort woman of Imperial Japanese Army in Indonesia during Great East Asian War in 1940s. In this piece, Airi Suzuki, the choreographer and the performer shares experience of Jan by focusing on her “forgiveness mind set” and reflect that to her own personal life experience and thoughts to look for the meaning or concept of forgiveness.
"With my Dad's wonderfully useless ideas" 2023
This piece is based on the memos and ideas of Airi Suzuki's father. He past away 30 years ago, and Airi took a look at her memories with father and started researching about him through his notebooks and memos.
Dance Film, "Memory Of Forgiveness" 2018. Theatre piece, "Memory Of Forgiveness" was created and performed before creating the film version. This dance film got officially selected several dance film festivals in the world, such as
