My work is mainly based on the theme of human connections and traces of life. Because of the theme of traces, I often incorporate cyanotype techniques into my painting techniques.
Therefore, my works are blue in color. I do not create my works from photographic images, but rather I draw directly on transparent film and then use that film to copy the image onto a support. This process allows me to leave my own brushstrokes on the canvas when the work is sensitized.
I interview the history of the area and the people who actually lived there, and incorporate traces of their lives into my work.
Through my artwork, I make those histories and inherited cultures visible.
My activities as an artist are an attempt to realize the past and connect it to the future through the creation of artworks.
