Works

In Japan, buildings surrounding the Imperial Palace are regulated in height to prevent them from overshadowing the Palace. In "Fly Ahead", I created an installation: an image of an airplane seemingly flying just above the ground near the Palace's perimeter, an event that never occurred in reality, embedded into an advertisement panel.

Images from “Comfort Zone” are conducted under the rule of collecting the environment provided for visitors to comfortably view exhibits or shows, such as air-conditioning systems or viewing guides inside publicly open buildings. As you see in these pictures also in daily life, military objects and statues installed are rarely displayed by themselves. “Comfort Zone” treats such scenes and environments as ‘mediators' that divide them into exhibits and viewers from just things and humans, respectively. And this work deals with spaces as buffer zones or environments for viewing things comfortably, to clarify those mechanics in public exhibit spaces. This project has been in production since 2023.
