Tokijo Hanasaki
The 11th Hanasaki Tokijyo Gathering “Continuation and Rebirth”
A series of video recordings of the 11th Tokijo Hanasaki recital “Continuity and Rebirth” held on 24 October is now available with English subtitles. Ms. Hanasaki has been actively performing abroad since her jiutamai performance and workshop in the European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016 (Poland). Ms. Hana Umeda, who has been practicing jiutamai in Poland came to Japan to perform at the recital. This time, she took Natori (instructor’s license) and performed “Kiku no tsuyu (Dew Drops on Chrysanthemums)” as Sada Hanasaki.
Please watch the performances with their wishes “Let’s expand the new world by actively working together with people who support the performances”!

The performance explored the solid presence of traditional arts and new possibilities. Sada Hanasaki, a master dancer from the Polish branch, also came to Japan to dance and wish for her success in Europe.
